Left Blue River at 7:30 this morning and climbed 30 miles for seven hours! to 5300 feet elevation at McKenzie Pass. Panoramic view was stunning. The surroundings are a lava river and I could see Mount Hood, Mount Jefferson, Black Butte, Three Sisters, and an amazing stone Observatory atop the hill (see video). The ride was so challenging and seemed to go on for ever. The backside of the mountain was a quick ride downhill to Sisters Oregon , a picturesque town With galleries, shops, and some live music.
