Yesterday was my biggest day, 88 miles, so far. Left Virginia City at 5 AM and rode seven hours in the rain. Once the rain cleared and the sun and blue sky‘s showed, the headwinds started. About 4 miles from West Yellowstone town, my rear derailer cable snapped which left me with only three gears. Quite fortunately,There was a great bike shop they got me in the next day for a new cable, new chain, and tuneup. Thank you Dan and Melissa!

Hi Andy. It’s Maggie. Just had a glass of wine across the street with Jim and showed him where you are in Yellowstone. He kayaked solo around Yellowstone lake for 6 days about 7 or 8 years ago. Then went back the next year and did Lewis and Shoshone lakes. Also solo. And dealt with massive waves on the lakes once the wind came up. You two will have stories to share! He said you would for sure see Buffalo. Greetings from the Island of Hyland 🥰

Wow. What a day… 7 hours in the rain. And then a headwind, followed by a mechanical problem. But 88 miles?!!! Please get a motel room with a bathtub and soak those weary bones! I’m still hoping you’ll send a Buffalo photo…
