What a day!

I left White Mills fire station this morning around 630 in am in a massive rainstorm and rode 10 miles to a convenience store before it stopped. Rested there for an hour and a half or so and made some coffee then continued Another 50 miles to Bardstown Kentucky. I had no idea what to expect of Bardstown but it turns out it’s the home of many whiskey/bourbon distilleries such as makers Mark and Jim Beam. It’s an historic town and has a lot of charm and character. I had An exceptional dinner at the Rickhouse restaurant and lounge and am heading back to my comfy motel to prepare for tomorrow and get some good rest. I spent the last four nights in semi-comfortable places, church hostels and fire stations, so it’s really nice to have a comfy, clean motel room. So appreciate a good meal in a good town after a big, challenging day on the road.

You earned that great meal and comfy bed!🏅🚴🏼🍲 Hope the weather is clear tomorrow and you cover lots of miles. We have a beautiful, smoky orange moon here tonight.

You are making this look too easy Andy, I'm sure there were times when you wanted to catch the Greyhound.... You are my hero...

Looks can be deceiving. I struggle every day but the rewards outweigh the struggles every time. Like it said that the White Mills fire station, real heroes don’t wear a cape.
